About
Maëlle Veschambre, french artisan jewellery maker
Graduate of the Tané School of Jewelery and silversmithing in 2014, I worked for several years in jewelery at Van Cleef and Arpels' workshop in Lyon, as well as for the jewelery store of Rosset's Family, located in the Jura, where I could enrich my skills by experimenting with the repair and restoration of jewelry.
Fjaer is a project that was officially born in February 2021, after several years of reflection.
My workshop is a space of creation, which allows me to give free rein to my inner world to offer you unique handcrafted jewelry.
To create an imaginary universe while keeping artistic craftsmanship alive, a precious area that I am keen to preserve, this is the raison d'être of Fjaer Bijouterie.
The jewels are entirely imagined, drawn and made by my hands in my workshop near St Malo, in the North West of France.
How to pronounced Fjaer ?
Fjaer is a Norwegian word meaning feather

It is pronounced [fee-ya-air], the first syllable "fj" is pronounced as in the word "fjord".

The feather is a timeless symbol, an organic element that is both solid and light, strong and vulnerable.
Evoking the cycles of nature and renewal. But also Norway. This magnificent country, which has been a great source of inspiration and imagination for me since I visited it. The landscapes, both soft and imposing. Snowy forests, myths and legends, the Viking aura and the influence of black metal.
This is all part of my inspiration for creating Fjaer's jewelry.

When this one is validated and that the payment of the order is carried out in full, the realization of your jewel can begin.
The delay varies according to the techniques used and the difficulty of the realization. I will inform you in advance.
However, it will take an average of three to four weeks to make your order.
If your jewel must be made for a specific date, please let me know.
I mainly work in 925 silver, however I am able to make your work in 750 gold.
